Playwiser is all about removing much of the burden associated with managing recreational sports teams and clubs etc.
Most of that burden is related to communications by phone and email to organize events and gather player attendance information.
Playwiser was run for two years as a private team management tool, that experience combined with experience managing a variety of
recreational sports teams provided the foundation for the current service. Playwiser seamlessly integrates scheduling, mail lists,
email auto responders, attendance tracking and other team management tools with an easy to use web interface.
Team setup takes a matter of a few minutes, ongoing team management effort drops to a fraction of the traditional
effort and player experience is greatly enhanced. Playwiser fills a communications void that is not filled by traditional team web
sites, statistics tracking services and league organization services. Playwiser is complementary to all of these services and can
be easily used in combination with any of them.

both are Information Technology companies located in Ottawa, Canada. The management team has extensive experience in both the

The Playwiser service is free to teams and players. Revenue is generated from on-site advertising.
Initial development and operational costs have been funded by the founding companies. Playwiser is run from a Class A data centre
with multi-homed high bandwidth Internet connectivity to ensure security and high levels of availability and responsiveness.
